Dolls and Snow!

Well clinic was cancelled. So what to do. Stay home and make dolls of course! Lifting up all the shades to the windows and working on my dolls at the kitchen table. What a peaceful joy! I am currently working on more wicked (and good) divas for Art Is! Looking forward to taking my friend Ellen's goddess class in March. Art-Is-You is  the place to be. This is the big project for me this year. Entering the fashion world with this wicked witch!!! More pictures to come. The theme is "The Wizard of Oz"! Being wicked is my thing. I will be in my element. LOL!

Haute Couture

Imagine dolls in haute couture. Well there is a doll magazine that says just that. And thats where you will find some of the latest fashion. Wait until my next lady doll! Pink is not always fluffy and cute. Wait until you see this next pretty in pink lol! The doll designs for this doll will take you to unlimited possibilities. I cant wait for my students to decide how they will proceed with their doll. The hair is sooo much fun to do. I am on the look out for wig pieces everywhere. I can't wait to see the look on students faces when they enter my world.

The Wicked Diva!

Okay! I updated her and she is smaller than before. This is great. Stay tuned for more costuming. I like frilly and fru fru dolls sometimes. These "Wicked Divas" will be prancing! Well here she is bigger than life! I have to figure it out how to make her smaller LOL! But here she is.  I will be teaching how to make her at Art-Is-You!!! Go to the website and pick out classes! Doll Projects!

A lot going on this month. I am working on my second Art Is doll and the Flying Diva Monkey! What fun creating this new doll. I have so much fun looking for things to embellish her with. And the costuming for the second doll is going to be fierce as well. I want this to be a very successful class! All of my spiritual creative energy is focused there right now. I enjoy people having fun!! I can't wait to sign up for workshops. If you people miss Art Is this year. Well you will have to wait until 2011~! That's a long wait. I can hardly wait for 2010. To see all my friends again. It's like going back to school for 6 brief days. Wow 6 days. Soon it will be 7 days, then 30, 40, 50. Let's see a whole sememster of days. We will never go home hooray!!!!!

Wicked!!!!

We all have a little bit of wickedness in our person. I can't wait to get to my computer to post this doll! I hope you enjoy her. But wait her wardrobe!!! I have sooo many surprises. There is one thing I like is doll get together's. And this will be a spectacular doll get together. Complete with runway music LOL!!! So much to do toooo much time to prepare. My whole year is promoting my new lady!!!

Creating

Well I have created a new pattern to teach at Art Is!! The title of my class is Which Witch areYou? Oh as soon as she is completed and sent to the Art Is team of Sallianne and Ellen, she will be my world tour promotion. First of all if you follow my blog get your payment plan ready because you will want to go to Art Is. If you have any artistic inclination or drive this is the place to be. You will go into "Art Is" overload. I can bet a stake in that claim.

Anyhow, my Witch class is right up my artistic alley. When I get finish teaching you this doll, you will think that the doll world revolves around the witch divas that we can so become. I will invite students to journey with me in creating their innermost "witch moment." It's going to be fun. In 6 hours what we can create! This is a class project created exclusively for Art Is. Take my class you won't regret it. LOL!! From 1 witch bitch to another!!

Happy New Year 2010 is here!!!!

You know I don't make New Year resolutions because I live each day to do better than the day before. But something about the New Year that just challenges you. Think about how a stubborn person never wants to change. Do they really not want to change or too stubborn to change. Who is more miserable when it comes to people like that...we the changers I suppose. My father always taught us no matter what try to learn something it keeps your mind strong. So happy New Year to the movers and shakers LOL! To the stubborn and unchanging well I guess you are happy too!

Things

Well we finally moved onto a nice peaceful block. Apt is smaller than the last one but we have peace of mind. No craft room to make dolls. What does that mean? It means I will take over the kitchen LOL! I am always making dinner so I might as well create while I cook. You can't have everything!

Happy Birthday to Me!

Well my birthday weekend went great! Friday July 3, I started the weekend with out to dinner with my honey. He took me to see Hair!!!!! It was fantastic. We had a wonderful time. Saturday on the July 4, I went up to Mt. Vernon NY to spend the day with my friends Gwen, Doris and Minnie! Of course we made dolls all day. Sunday July 5 (my actual birthdate) I came home from church, set up a grill and cooked. It was late and we weren't going to do it. But I said what the heck. Then my eldest son came over with his girlfriend. My daughter and my Snookums. All of my family was there. It was the best weekend ever!

Well what can be more fun than preparing for a birthday weekend! I celebrate my birthday the week before and the week after! At work I treated my staff to lunch! And then they turned around and treated me to many wonderful gifts and 3 cakes!!!! LOL!!! I will be spending a whole day with just me and hubby on 7/3. Then on 7/4 I will be spending the day with 2 of the most wonderful ladies in my life, Mama G and Aunt Doris!!!! Then on Sunday I will gather with my Sarien, Erin Aja, Gregory, Snookums and Bipa for a happy birthday to me Sunday dinner! It will be complete with party hats, ice cream and cake! Maybe a pinata. Gregory is not to keen on Pinatas. Hmmm a long story. Well anyway as Art -Is looms....Happy Birthday to me~

Where Have I Been!

Oh my goodness. It's the end of June already! I have 3 wonderful events coming up. First the African American Festival September 12, 2009 in Jersey City New Jersey. I need vendors and entertainers.

Next is Art-Is the most wonderful conference on the East Coast!!! Me and a couple of my friends will be traveling up to CT to teach. I love dollmaking, that's what I do!

Next is the annual Doll Holiday Party I host in December. I usually get a group of doll friends together and we have a sew-a-thon (dollmaking of course). So keep visiting and I will keep you informed of these wonderful events. Visit my facebook and my website too!

Art Is 2009

Well I am very excited to be teaching at Art Is this year. The theme is Alice in Wonderland. I am sure there will be tea parties galore LOL! I will be teaching an evening class. I am very excited. Now maybe I can get this blog thing to work!!!!

Happy January!!!

Obama is in yeah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The event was watched by me and my husband. He made a wonderful brunch and we sat and watched until dark! I was crocheting small dresses for small dolls. It was a wonderful day.

I have been invited to teach an evening class at Art Is!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am more than excited. What do I teach to go with these trendy artsy ladies? I am thinking right now.

Hello Everyone!

Happy New Year! I hope everyone has fun. I am the speaker at my church during Watch Night. I am so excited!!! Dollmaking is going well. The Doll Holiday party was sooo much fun! I can't wait until next year. I am planning it now. My doll club is having a wonderful project next month.

Merry Christmas

Hello Everyone!
Christmas to me is sad this year. I am without my mom who was barely alive last Christmas but still pulled through. She died in April though. I am sad because I want to put up my Christmas tree but I can't because my arm is bad(I fell off of a chair). My husband won't put it up. I have no holiday spirit. I was thinking I am never happy at Christmas time because of my husband. I don't remember too many happy Christmas's at all. I try to make Christmas my favorite time of year until I get home. Then it's stressful.
