Sigh!

I am moving and shaking! So many things have come my way. Went to my hairdresser and sold 3 dolls. I have to complete 1 but 2 of my prims are done! Woo hoo!! I'm in there doing something. Went to Joannes and bought some goodies and the latest Soft Dolls and Animal. It was a prospersous day. Thank you God for the gift.

Peace at Midnight

It's 1:30 am. There can be peace in the midnight hour. When you know your children, no matter how old, are resting peacefully. And you can think clearly and creatively. When you sit back and think of all the blessings you are bestowed with. And you can't help but think thank you God for all your many blessings.

Preparing

Just thought, Black History Month, Valentines Day coming up! Maybe I could get myself together to do something. Tired and lack drive today. I will get it together and show you what comes forth.

Dressing Up!

Well I'm not feeling good at all. Maybe for once when I'm not feeling well I will sew anyway. Getting ready to cut strips for my Prim ladies dress. What colors. I love rusts, greens, reds, orange and black. Let's see what I can do.

Fabric

Shopping for fabric is such a spirit filled release!! Takes me away from the cares of the job. I just pray I can find a job doing what I love sigh....why can't I just make dolls from 9 to 5.

Last Post

LOL!! For my last post I waited for 1/1/11 and posted at 11:11. You can't get no more number 1 than that. I feel good today! I am good so therefore I create. I learned a valuable lesson at the very end of the year and the beginning of the New Year. I started losing myself artistically trying to prove to people I am an artist. I compromised. How? I was so intent on making these people see that I was an artist that I lost focus. And guess what they still didn't take me serious. Does that mean I am not a serious artist? NOOOO! That just means I am not part of that clique. I have to get back to myself. I have to get back to myself. I lost that battle and guess what it's all okay. I took my eggs out of that one basket. I have made so many art friends. Those other people they are still people I know. Like my husband said I always want to make everybody my friend. Sometimes you try so hard that you can't see when people don't really like you. And that's what makes the lesson valuable!!! Because you don't and won't die if everyone doesn't like you!!! The lesson only becomes valuable when you get it. So now my affirmations are I am great! I am talented! I am a teacher and a leader! I love me! Whew it took me 50 years and a day. But I said it. And guess what the 5 great followers of my blog, the people who actually said I am interested in you, will be the recepient of this great soapbox blog today!!! Thank you! And I feel good!!!! Just got an email from Leslie Molen Niada classes are up!!! And I'm out until later!!

It's New Year's Eve!!!!

It's7:00 PM New Year's Eve!!! The next post from me will be saying HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! With my loving husband and children and wonderful grandson and extended children!!! I want to start the new year with creating and fullfilling my dreams!!!! All dreams must come true!!!!! Nothing is possible without the help of my GOD!  Thank you Jesus!

New Ladies

New ladies just coming out the oven! All kinds of wonderful colors. The ladies even had some Merlot 2007 (a good year lol)! I am going to take pictures of their journey. Someone has a little burn on her hiney but she is dry! I love what I do! Next it will be time to dress them. Later on this morning I am going into Staten Island to go to JoAnnes fabrics to pick up supplies. Have some more wonderful tricks up my sleeve. This is more than a tea dyed button doll LOL!! These are works of Art!!!!!!!!!!

New Prims!!!

I am making dolls. Thanks to a rescue from my friend. Brenda for some polyfil, I am able to complete 2 dolls! Yeah! They are sewn up and ready for the next step. As soon as I put them together then the fun part. Making them look different, old, antiqued, distressed, primmed out yeah! LOL! Should you laugh to keep from crying or should you cry between the tears. Just do both.

New Year's 2011!

Well a New Year is coming!! My only job will be making dolls!  Working on what I love most. Dolls.

Merry Christmas!!!!

This is the best Christmas ever!! My husband cleaned the whole house for me. Luv him. Vended outside December 24, 2010!!! What a wonderful experience. I didn't finish my prims to put out but I still had other dolls to go. And 4 of them left for new homes yeah!!!!! It was cold for sure so my husband and 2 sons came to rescue me with a ride home. Yes the gentlemen packed my stuff, carried it to the car and got me home safely!!!! But Christmas morning all of my children came over for breakfast. Greg made breakfast! (best husband in the world!! Now  this was one of the best Christmas's we have had. Now to brace ourselves for the snow. Let's see. Lot's of food, making dolls, I can't think of a better way to start my vacation!!! Have some new ideas for my dolls, including an add on to my name. But right now just relaxing with my honey.

All the Little Prims!!

Well 12/24/10, which is a very Holy day for me, I will present  dozen or so small Prims. I might have to make them little felted sweaters and hats because it's gonna be cold outside lol!!! I am still working!!

Prims!!!

I was talking with Michael DeMeng on facebook. He is interested in my fabric rusting and I am taking one of his classes at Art Is. After reading one of his books and the coaxing of some friends I am going to enhance my dollmaking by going over to the DeMeng side lol!!!!! Prims beware!! Worked on some wonderful recipes. The sky is the limit. I am ready lol!!!!
Wow is Christmas this Friday. Plan to go down to Grove Street in Jersey City and Vend!!! Come on by and see various dolls including my new Prim line!!! This is such a special day for me. It's a holy night!!!!! I am not a fan of winter but Christmas Eve, outside vending, big tent with lights and a busy thoroughfare, selling my precious ladies. What an event!!!!!! Can't wait. Come down and join me from 2 to 8!!!

Let's Get Primitive!

That's the class I am teaching at Art Is in 2011!!! I am so excited of course. It is one of the best Art Conferences I have ever attended. Can't wait for the official launch!! I know who's teaching what when. Shhhhh today it's my secret. One thing I do know is read and sign up for my blog! I will keep you abreast of my "Primitive" adventures.

Thanksgiving!

Well the holidays are upon us. And I am in full gear making dolls! Next year for Art-Is I am "Going Primitive!!!! Working on these savvy little ladies is soooo much fun. Pictures coming later today!! Ahhh Art Is

It will always be Art Is and not Art Was lol!!! As soon as 1 conference ends we start to prepare for the next one. I had soo much fun. Sallianne and Ellen are the best. I have special gifts for them, my class. My class was wonderful. Tough crowd loved them though. Will post pictures!
